Virgin Experience Days - Feed the Big Cats
This is a truly memorable experience for any cat lover to enjoy! You will get to feed the Lions or Tigers by hand from outside their enclosure. Although no actual contact with the cats is involved you will experience the animal breath and the brush of its whiskers as it takes the meat from your hand.
What happens on the day
Your experience will include the following:
- You will arrive at the Park where you will be provided with a welcome drink
- One of the Park trained staff will escort you to the big cat territory, where you will receive a health and safety briefing
- With the help and guidance of one of the trained big cat keepers you will feed a Lion or Tiger by hand from outside their enclosure
- You will learn about all of the cats housed at the park including Lions, snow leopards and cheetahs
- You will receive a souvenir t-shirt and a certificate as a memento of an unforgettable encounter
- You will also receive free entry into the park for one guest
- Participants are welcome to arrive early and stay until the park closes to enjoy other attractions and animals at Paradise Wildlife Park
What Happens On The Day
Safety's paramount when coming face to face with the Big Cats so you will start your day with a safety briefing session as part of a small group.
his is followed by a short presentation on the work of Wildlife Heritage Foundation both in the UK and overseas.
Then it's straight on with the overalls and off for a 2hour session caring for our Big Cats.
The session will finish with light refreshments and an opportunity for a few photo mementos of the experience.
What should I wear?
Please wear casual comfortable clothing suitable for the time of year, we also recommend you wear suitable footwear such as walking boots or wellingtons. Be sure to bring a camera as there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
How long should I allow for this experience?
Your whole experience will last for approximately 30 minutes but you are welcome to arrive early to enjoy other attractions and animals in the Park.
When does the activity take place?
This experience takes place on selected weekdays throughout the year. All bookings are subject to availability. It is recommended that you book a date at least four to six weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on the voucher. This is only a guideline and it is advised that you book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Are there any restrictions?
The minimum age for this experience is 16 years. Women in early stages of pregnancy should consult their doctor or midwife before booking.
What about the weather?
This experience is not weather dependent.
Can I bring spectators?
Although spectators will not be able to accompany the voucher holder during their experience, family & friends may pay normal admission prices to enter the park and enjoy the other attractions and animals.
What about insurance?
Personal Accident Insurance to the value of £50,000 together with cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher. The centres contracted with us hold public indemnity liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to vehicles or equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence.

Your expiry date is printed on your voucher, please check the date as it is essential that you book and take your experience before this date.
